"Why is it you insist on spending your free time with me?"
Leo's voice breaks through the comfortable silence the both of you had previously been sitting in. You gaze up from your book out of surprise, furrowing your eyebrows at his question. His gaze is hard to hold, deep auburn eyes calculating and inquisitive.
"I wonder..." you trail off, before laughing nervously. Leo's glove clad hands drum against the wooden table in front of you, not sharing in your apparent amusement. You gulp, your mind searching for excuses. You have no intention on telling him the truth, certain that if you reveal your feelings your cozy relationship with the Prince would vanish like smoke.
"Well, for one, it's easy to read around you. You don't attempt to start conversation out of no where. And, secondly, uh, I don't know." you stop yourself before you begin to ramble. It's easy to list off many reasons why you enjoy spending your time with him in your mind, but much more difficult to find the courage to speak them aloud.
Your answer takes a few moments to soak in, but when it does, Leo still looks displeased. He sighs, irritably, and closes his book. 'Looks like this isn't over yet,' you think. With this thought in mind, you can only anticipate the worst.
"You're rambling. You only do that in circumstances when you feel uncomfortable, and it hardly ever provides a true answer," he deduces. Leaning forward, from his spot across from you, he continues to stare you down. "Tell me the truth."
Your heart begins to beat unbearably fast, hands clenching by your side. You're too readable to him, if you lie, he'll simply point it out. It's evident that he'll keep on badgering you with this question until he gets an acceptable answer.
Sucking in a deep breath and closing your eyes, you whisper, "I really like you. Hence why I want to spend time with you."
Leo blinks.
"I bed your pardon?" The shock in his tone can only be matched by his current visage.
"There's no way I'm going to repeat that," you grumble, whilst flushing. "You heard me."
His mouth is agape, but only for a moment. He manages to recollect himself, swiftly opening up the book in front of him. You notice that even as he attempts to hide is blushing countenance, the vermillion still reaches his ears.
"Is... is that so?" he stutters. You nod your head, ignoring the fact that he can't see you. For a few moments, you can't help but feel relief by how he was acting. At least it wasn't flat out rejection.
"I, well," Leo pauses for a moment, moving the book in his hands down just enough for you to see his eyes. "I rather enjoy our time together too, even if I hardly voice it. Perhaps, not even just that... but cherish you as well."
Was that a confession? From the Prince of Pretentiousness?
You smile fondly at him, causing him to lift the book up once again.
"I'm glad to hear the feeling is mutual." With this, you allow your hands to sit atop his. He makes no movement to stop you, instead, breathing a sigh of relief.
"Indeed. I can't comprehend why you wouldn't admit this sooner, though." he wonders aloud. You shrug your shoulders.
"I believe that's obvious. You're hard to get a read on." you snicker at your lame joke, causing Leo to groan. He rolls his eyes, gently lowering his book once more. Shakily, he interlaces his gloved hands with your own, unable to maintain eye contact.
"We're sharing a tender moment and you decide to crack a lame joke? I wonder if my feelings are misplaced," he scoffs. Before you can protest, he quickly adds, "Although, I suppose it is an attribute of your's that I am fond of. Even if it can be irritating at times."
"Well, thanks, I think."
He purses his lips.
"Oh, and Leo?" you hum, a mischievous glint in your eyes. It causes him to shiver.
"What?"
"Your book was upside down."
Your laughter picks up once again as his face shifts from pleasant, to shock, and ending on embarrassment.
"... Blasted."

Fire Emblem Seven Minutes in Heaven Niles
“What did I tell you all? I told you it was going to rain, and look, it's raining. I knew it was only a matter of time.” Ranulf took his place in front of the group and used a nearby shield to keep the rain away from him for the time being. “This is going to have to be our last turn, at least until the rain lets up.” Not moving from his spot, he pointed a finger at you. “You're the next, and last player for now. Go get your item.”
“Already way ahead of you.” The moment Ranulf had signaled that you were next, you had stood to your feet and made your way to the barrel. Not wanting to be s

NOTE: Drabble collection of sorts, using colors as word prompts. The entire fic takes place during Revelations route in chronological order. Warning for spoilers.
-- Gray --
Gray was the color of the sky when you decided to take neither Hoshido's or Nohr's side.
You were blinking back tears as you were assisted by Azura and Jakob, trying to stop the battle. After making your escape, you choked a sob while being comforted by your loyal butler and your newfound ally.
What you didn't notice was the longing and hurt Leo had felt as he saw you disappear.
Part of him wanted to listen to you, while the other part wanted to brand you as a traito
