It was easy to sit down, and stay in that position. To relax with your arms strewn carelessly in whatever direction felt the most comfortable. Your eyes could stay shut, your muscles finally getting the chance to unwind. It was almost sad - you were at the point where just sitting down was considered blissful. Anything to take your mind away from the work that continued to pile up.

This chair, it may just be the end of you. A smile cracked itself onto your face, what a silly thought. You, a soldier, taken down by a chair. Of course, there was more to it then that. Your overwhelming desire to not do anything and stay crawled up was what you were truly being eaten alive by. But, of course, the chair didn't help. Maybe you could have it removed? Tomorrow, that is. Perhaps the day after.

Did it really matter? No. You'd keep putting it off. A nice idea, it may be, to improve yourself - but alas, that'd be saved for another day. For now, you just sit in this chair.

The door cracks. A figure walks in, his hair dampened with sweat, and not much covering his moist skin. Just a simple pair of black shorts and a white shirt. His black hair was ruffled, and yet surprisingly intact. Even when training, it seemed like he wanted to stay prim and proper.

"You should get off that damn chair." It seems like you and Levi were sharing the same thought. You sigh, and disobediently shake your head. Levi's eyebrows furrow together not-so-pleasantly, before sitting down on the chest in front of bed. Levi grunted, and a staring contest between you both ensued. His eyes remained unblinking, and after a while, you blinked yourself. A hand rakes itself through Levi's hair, and he sighs.

"Listen, (Name). You're a soldier. You can't keep sitting there all day. I excused you for one day, but that's it." Levi's irritation grew when your face stayed blank. How could he get a reaction out of you?

"But I- I like this chair. It's nice. You know what isn't nice? Having to go work my ass off all the time. But, this chair, this is a nice chair." You pat the side of your chair. Sitting here forever, you could live with that fate. Would it even be worth getting up out of? You'd just face a world of hell again. If you could pass on that, even for a short amount of time, you would. Were you lazy, or unmotivated? It seemed like a thin line separating the two.

"Fuck. You're not cheating on me with a chair, are you? To think you'd love a chair more than me." Levi was almost never humorous. But when he saw your paled face light up with a bit a geniuine joy - he couldn't give a damn about how stupid he acted or sounded. Your lips parted for a moment to let out a laugh. Levi was putting effort into making you smile. That was nicer than this chair. Levi decided to continue, maybe, just maybe, he'd get a full fledged smile from you. His face stayed stone cold, but his heart was pounding.

Maybe he could give back to you for once.

He stands up from the chest he was previously sitting on, and walks over to you. You stare at him, and he stares back - owlishly, at that. It was as if he was viewing his prey.

"Get up." He commands, not too nicely, but that doesn't matter to you. You shake your head, having the demeanor of a pouty child. You wanted to ask what the point would be, however, that question may make Levi worry for you. You didn't need to burden him anymore than he already felt. So instead of feeding his ever-growing annoyance with you, you decided to speak up.

"Why?" You hoped you sounded vague enough. Maybe you could trick Levi into thinking you're sitting in this chair just for the heck of it. That it was a silly game. If you succeeded, you could cover up the feelings that ran deeper than this stupid chair. Levi placed a hand to his chin in thought.

"... So you can sit down on my lap instead." Levi murmurs, before awkwardly shuffling about. Damn. This was going to be harder than he originally anticipated - and the fact your lips were glued shut didn't help his situation. His rose tinted cheeks spoke for themselves whereas the rest of his face was stoic. You consider this option. But wouldn't that in the end burden him anyways? He has work he needs to get done. You do too. But your work is less important than his, or at least to you it was.

"No thank you." You kindly refuse. 'A burden. A pathetic one at that, a burden that was meant to do the exact opposite. That's what you are,' you reminded yourself in your thoughts, 'but why is it I want him to help me? Screw these mixed feelings.' Was being selfish soon to be added to the list you thought of yourself? Probably.

"I won't take that dumbass answer. Brace yourself, (Last)." Levi seems more stubborn than normal. Before you were able to interject, his arms outstretched, and coiled themselves around you. His right arm snuck underneath your legs, and his left arm wrapped themselves around your back. His muscles tense as he hoists you up in the air, and stares down at you. You could've sworn to have seen his lips smirk for a brief moment.

You had no clue what to do - this was certainly not to be expected by the formal Corporal Levi. He may be your lover, but he never did anything that spontaneous or sweet. It's just how he was. It seemed like the coils of darkness that cloaked your being and held you back were slowly being broken. Levi wasn't giving up on you. Even if it meant carrying you bridal style, he'd do it. Screw being prideful.

He stuck true to his words. Once he had sat down, he sat you on his lap. You guessed that he didn't expect to get this far, and now, you were both just relaxing in each other's embrace. The steady rhythm of your breathing signaled that you were accepting the fate and sitting on Levi's lap. Your head rested itself onto his neck, not minding the bits of sweat that remained from his training. It was Levi, and that was good enough for you.

"Am I better than that stupid chair?" Levi broke the welcomed silence. You snicker a bit. A thing you'd need to keep in mind would be to enjoy Levi's more "playful" moods, if there were anymore that is.

"... Eh. You work." You respond teasingly, to which Levi frowns. He glances over at the chair. It seems he's made a new foe this day, and it was made out of wood. Your enemies were the ones you never thought they'd be.

"I'll have to get rid of that chair then." Levi seems dead serious. It was a dumb kind of serious, but still there.

"Levi-"

"No. Don't Levi me. I am done with that fucking piece of shit chair." If he broke out that many swear words, it was final. You playfully punch his shoulder. He knew, didn't he? It wasn't just a chair. The gleaming in his eye spoke for him, the tint of worry he felt. For you. But he wouldn't voice it, and to be honest, you appreciated that.

So for now, you'd just sit here in his lap. That chair, you'd finally get rid of it. Not today, or the day after, but now.
dO YOU EVER HAVE THAT SURGE OF NOSTALGIA? How can I become nostalgic about AoT jfc it hasn't been that long. Annnyways, I haven't been writing that much stories with Levi in them recently, and I got a sudden surge of Levi feels return to me. I've been stressed out with schoolwork, so I just decided to write up a small story. It probably isn't that good though bc it was mainly stress relief writing //shot

I seriously love being a writer. You can just wake up one day, and think to yourself, 'I'm going to write a story about getting a person off a chair.' anD NO ONE CAN STOP YOU.

But since the month of February has been dubbed "Angst month" expect something filled with intense feels coming your way! Who knows when though. That and my one year anniversary here on dA is coming up, and I'm planning a special story for that. I also want to participate in Ash's contest ahh. So much to do. But schoolwork is gonna come first and foremost, but in my free time, I'll be writing B)

This sorta reminds me of my "Endurance" story yet it bit fluffier probably. I've been feeling like this way for a while now tbh. But I feel better after writing stories like this, and hopefully you will to. GET OFF THAT CHAIR. You might not feel like it, or have a Levi to comfort you, but you can still do it. I believe in you.

I don't own you, or Attack on Titan.
