There were many advantages of dating the famed Levi Ackerman - one being that you were completely respected, and that no one with half a brain would so much as mess with you. Sometimes people that lived closer to the bad side of town would wave to you on the streets as you walked by, and you even got discounts time to time. There was also the man himself. Levi was very handsome, despite his short nature, there was no denying that.
But like anything, there were disadvantages too. Although most people would leave you alone, people higher up in the food chain that were enemies of his gang would try to target you. You weren't a damsel in distress, considering your rather good athletic skills, but that didn't keep Levi from constantly nagging and trying to protect you. You had become somewhat adjusted to Levi's sharp tongue and possessiveness, but you couldn't gloss over the negatives completely.
Something else that bothered you was the fact Levi would almost never directly tell you when he was upset with you. It was pretty obvious when he was, he'd often scowl more than usual, clean excessively, or would give you the silent treatment. Of course, whenever you asked he just replied like so.
"Wrong? Nothing's wrong, (Name). I don't see where the hell you got that idea." Cue your aspirated groaning. Right now was actually one of those times were you seemingly did something to provoke the short man's aggravation, but you literally had no idea what that was. You even made a list of things you had done throughout the day, but none of them appeared to seem like something that would upset him. Literally all you did was hang out and talk to some friends.
"A little cleaning could put Levi in a better mood." You reasoned with yourself, as you tried not to die of toxic fumes that Levi's beloved bleach gave off. Levi was yet to come home yet - so you hoped that if he saw you working your ass off cleaning, it would make him forgive whatever you did to make him so irritated.
You started feeling a bit lightheaded from the fumes, and decided it would probably be a good idea to exit the bathroom. All of a sudden, you heard the door to your house fly open, and you automatically assumed it was Levi. Putting on the best smile you could manage, you went to greet your boyfriend.
"Welcome home, Levi! How was your day?" Your dulcet and sweet voice asked. Levi stared at you for a moment, almost as if he was remembering something, before his eyebrows scrunched together in a scowl.
"Shitty. As usual." Levi monotonously stated. You almost winced at his upset tone, yep, he was still angry. You took in a deep breath, knowing it was going to be a long night. Levi strode past you, a waft of alcohol reaching your nose, which immediately caused it to scrunch up at the stench.
"Levi! You reek of alcohol!" You told him, as you quickly put your hand to your nose for some protection. Levi was obviously not drunk, in fact, you had never seen him drunk. You were kind of surprised at how well he could handle alcohol because of his height. Levi just scoffed, before sliding his leather jacket off.
"You think I don't know that, idiot? I'm going to take a shower." Levi's harsh tone took you a bit by surprise. Soon enough he was walking towards the bathroom you recently just cleaned, and you heard him coughing as he suddenly closed the door to the room.
"Shit. Speaking of stenches, what the hell (Name)?" Wait... was Levi complaining about you cleaning? This must be the end of the world as you knew it. You gulped, before nervously fiddling with your hair, before letting out a small laugh.
"Uh... I was just cleaning it! You like clean things, right?" Your voice strained out. You squeezed your eyes shut as Levi stormed over to you, his grumpy facial expression growing more grim.
"You used too much bleach, imbecile." Levi practically growled out. You tried to keep your eyes closed even more, as you felt them slowly water up. You just despised it deeply whenever you did something wrong, much less if you did something wrong that made Levi even more upset with you. You looked away, hoping Levi didn't catch a glimpse of your growingly wet eyes.
"I'm sorry." Your voice cracked mid sentence. Levi stood there frozen for a moment, before realizing he went too far. With your back still to him, you felt two arms cautiously creep around your body, as he pulled you into a hug. You let out a small sniffle in response.
"Dammit (Name), I'm sorry. I was being too much of a goddamn asshole to you." Levi whispered against your neck.
"I have to agree with you on that one." You told him, before relaxing more in his surprisingly tender embrace. Levi just hummed, before you stood in silence. Once you began feeling a little better, you turned around to meet his eyes, feeling curiosity and confusion wash over you again.
"But can you tell me why you were mad at me in the first place?" You murmured to him. Levi stood silent for a moment, before you saw a hint of a blush on his cheeks. It was his turn to be unable to meet your gaze, as he hurriedly mumbled something. You blinked a few times, before tilting your head.
"Huh? What was that?" You asked, before Levi let out a sigh.
"I said - I saw you talking to that shitty giant, Berthole or some shit. You seemed to get along so well, hell, he even made you smile more than I could. I guess I got a bit... you know." Levi shamefully admitted, which caused a giggle to echo throughout your body, before a soft smile plastered itself onto your visage.
"First off, it's Bertholdt, dummy. And we've been friends for a long time, that's all. You make me smile all the time." You told him, before you pressed your lips to his own in a peck, before moving away. You didn't even mind the bit of alcohol that you tasted.
"Whatever, brat. Hey, and you better not tell shitty glasses about this either, or else I'll tickle you with no mercy." Levi threatened, and you just nodded your head. No way in hell were you going to get tickled. After moving out of his embrace, you began walking towards the kitchen.
"I'm sure you're hungry, Levi. I'll make us something to eat." You yell over to him.
"Oh, and I have something else to say. If I see you talking to that titan sized freak again, I'll send my gang after him." Levi replied, which almost caused you to shriek.
"Dammit Levi! Don't do that, he's fragile!" You squealed out, the image of poor Bertholdt getting beat up in your head appearing. You could hear Levi chuckle in response. You sighed at his immature behavior, before starting off on some dinner.
'Well, at least we made up.'

I feel pretty bad for not writing stories as much as I used to, it's just I've been having issues thinking of story ideas lately //sigh
But here is some grumpy Thug!Levi for you guys! I've been wanting to write a story like this for a while uwu I just didn't know how to word it until now. I feel like Levi could get upset over little things, in his own cheesy way. THE ENDING WAS PRETTY BAD OOPS. Poor Bertholdt.
I don't own you, or Attack on Titan
